Ho Chi Minh City, 3rd June 2015 - As part of the “Bridgestone Accompanies with Vietnamese Students” program, Bridgestone Vietnam held a seminar at Da Lat University on 29th May 2015. Over 300 students from all of the University’s faculties attended the seminar.

At the seminar, Bridgestone Vietnam’s representatives shared knowledge as well as their experience and insights regarding the tire industry.  Detailed information about the tire production process was also shared. The students were also inspired by the creative pioneering leadership of Bridgestone’s Founder, Mr. Shojiro Ishibashi, in overcoming obstacles to bring qualified products to the world.

In addition, to bring cheer to good students whose families are experiencing financial difficulties, Bridgestone awarded 30 scholarships to these students as a sign of support for them from the older generation.

A student shared: “The seminar is very interesting and informative. It also gives us a chance to strive for better academic results to obtain the scholarship. Moreover, it gives us, the engineering students, knowledge about the tire industry which we will otherwise never know, and insights on the skills we need to have to apply for a job and of the opportunities at Bridgestone also.”

The students actively raised questions about the technical information of tires, job vacancies, recruitment trends as well as skills that international corporations are looking for in their candidates.

With “Bridgestone Accompanies with Vietnamese Students”, Bridgestone Vietnam hopes that the seminars will provide Vietnamese students with more information, as well as supporting students who experience financial difficulties with scholarships. Bridgestone Vietnam hopes that supporting today’s youths will enable them to better contribute to the country.
